When a Spanish Speaking Mother Has a Miscarriage
My neighbor's DIL was 4 months pregnant & found out on Sat that her baby no longer had a heartbeat :( She came over and I came to find out this is the third miscarriage she's had. She miscarried twins at 4 months years ago and then said she had a miscarriage once w/out even knowing she was pregnant. I felt horrible for her & I wanted to get her something small. But I've been looking and looking online and I cant find anything in Spanish, even when I include "Spanish" in my google search. And after sitting here crying my eyes out after reading all the things they have in English, I'm drained. I was wondering if any of you have ever had to buy something like this in Spanish, or any other language other than English? The lack of sympathy gifts for a miscarriage or still born death in Spanish also worries me it is not given as much importance as it should be in the Spanish speaking community :(
I thought about a nice bracelet, which wouldnt have any words, but honestly I wouldnt be able to afford anything like that.
***ETA: not sure if miscarriage is the right word. She told me her options were going to the hospital and having them take the baby out or going home and miscarrying there. This is why i'm calling it a miscarriage.***
