Some people emotionally cannot handle it.
I can't judge.
It has been very difficult for me to adjust to having a special needs child. I love him and would do anything for him but its still very taxiing.
Wait.. WHAT?
Where's the child now?
That is heartbreaking!!
Quoting MrsWhite101610:That's crazy. Did she give a "reason"? Not that there is really ever a good reason to abandon your child...

Oh, well I hope someone is taking care of the child now who has its best interests at heart. And hopefully one day the mother will realize what she gave up. Does her boyfriend say anything about it? I don't think I could ever be with a man who abandoned his child(ren)

I'm not sure of all the details my Aunt posted it on facebook.

If her child is with a qualified adult, I don't see the issue.
Some women can't take it. Men walk away from full time responsibility all the time, it's actually considered "normal" for a fahter to only see his kids a few days a month.
Good for her for wanting more for her child than she could give IMO.
What is going to happen from now?
Is your aunt prepared to care for the child? I hope everything goes well.
Poor little angel...

With my Aunt. My cousins mom.

I would never justify anyone walking away from their kids. However, she is emotionally invested in her kid and it's heartbreaking to watch your child suffer and not be like everyone else. While it may seem like she is moving to another hard situation, I would imagine dealing with 9 kids that you have no emotional ties with would be a lot easier than dealing with 1 that you do. I hope that she sees the error in her ways and clears her head and goes back to her child, fully committed.
