Because you know being 5 and playing all day is extremely hard work, I mean really.

Lol!! My girls do the same thing. Then complain that they're tired and too sleepy to clean.

Remind her that if she cleaned up as she went, the end of day there would be a much smaller mess to clean up. Playing is hard work for any age. It uses tons of energy up.
