It's about 8 pm here. I had just finished folding a load of towels. I was in the process of taking off my shirt to put on a nighty when i heard very loud pounding. I ran to the livingroom to turn down the tv and check on my 9 yr old dd to see if she did something. I heard it again. I looked through the peephole and it was a man in a black t-shirt and grungy jeans. He had dark unruly curly hair and was kind of stocky, not fat. He lifted his fist and started pounding again and the whole door was rattling. I txtd my neighbor and i guess he left while i wasn't looking. I'm really freaked because my dh is a truck driver and not home during the week. My neighbor across the street is in Colorado on vacation. My other neighbors on the sides are elderly and/or handicapped, related to the neighbor across so i look out for them while they are away. What scared me is the way he was pounding. I usually don't answer the door anyway but i'm def not answering when they pound like that.
We got a new door and it's so heavy. I tried talking through is before and i can't hear.

When i went to the door I had my phone in my hand with 911 dialed, all i had to do was push send. I have called my neighbors on each side and alerted them. The man next door said he heard that some burgulars will knock on the door to see if anyone asnswers and then break in. I really needed to hear that. We have a no soliciting sign and no tresspassing sign posted.
