I take mine to the local church clothes closet. Community members can go there and take 3 items a month per family member. The toys I take to the local childrens home. The big stuff I take to goodwill.

Why not look at each of their websites and read their mission statements. Whichever you agree with the most donate there.

I used to work at Goodwill, so I would always donate there, and shop there too.

Goodwill. they have the best prices for people in need. Salvation army has gotten ridiculous with their prices. Goodwill will resale your things at a lower price to people, and they employ people who are very down on their luck.

First the school - we have a clothes closet that's utilized for kids in need, then salvation army. I don't believe in goodwill - they aren't really for the people who need it.

Please explain the part about Goodwill. I don't understand that. I used to work for them, so not sure what your getting at.

Goodwill for clothes, shoes. Large items, like an old wall unit, table and chairs, appliances, we have St Vincent de Paul pick up.
