My 15-yr-old daughter and I will be heading overseas in 3 weeks. There is a 50% chance that the plane we'll be taking over will not have power-ports or in-seat entertainment-options (meaning we will not be able to choose our own entertainment)...and we won't be able to plug in our laptops if they start to run out of battery-power (which they will).
The flight over is 10 1/2 hours -- assuming a straight-shot.
We'll both get books to read - I like word searches, so I'll pick up a new book for myself of those - I told DD we can take cards along as well (but she's not much of a card-player...she doesn't enjoy it much).
Neither of us can sleep on airplanes - and our flight will be during day-time here, so we aren't likely to be tired anyway.
Any other suggestions of low-tech things to do in an airline seat for hours?
