Well that was creepy!
I'm sitting here with the baby monitor behind my head because my almost 8 week old is sleeping in her crib upstairs. All of a sudden I hear 2 kids voices over the monitor, a boy and a girl.
At first I thought my kids must be in my room with their sister, and I look over and all 3 of them are sittin on the couch.
Well I'm officially freaked out just a little. I know my house is haunted but this is the first time I've heard chatter!
What was said
girl voice - "look at the baby, she is so pretty"
Something inaudible sounded male is all I know
girl voice again - "look at this will"
and then nothing.
None of my neighbors have a baby girl, there is only 1 neighbor that has a baby and its a boy, and none of them have a son named will. I also know that there are 2 small children that haunt my house, 1 boy and 1 girl...

Oh I remember when that happened to us, our son couldn't say words at the time and he was asleep and we heard a voice say something can't remember what but I was so beyond freaked out! well turns out it was one of his toys! lol the batteries were going dead and it would automatically play without being touched.
Maybe, but why would 2 kids that sound similar to mine, be using a phone? Nobody else has small babies around where I live, I live in kinda an old people neighborhood, and those that do are too far away for my monitor to be picking it up!

It does the same with cordless phone and cell phones and yours doesn't need the rage theirs will do it. Also people use monitors for more than small babies some use it to listen on older kids who like to fight and shit like that.

One of our TVs actually picks up someone's conversations. I was watching TV one night, and heard it in the background. So, I muted the sound and heard this guy talking, like he was on a CB or something. Freaked me out at first.
My middle child bought a set of walkie-talkies with his birthday money. One day, the boys were at school, and my daughter was taking a nap. I heard someone talking from the boys' room. I went in there, and found one of the walkie-talkies on and clear as day, I could hear some man talking. I turned it off.
It was turned down, so what I could make out is look at the baby, she is so pretty. somethin inaudible, look at this will...and then nothing.

You think that's creepy read what happened to me My son was home less then a week and we had a video monitor. We lived in a loft apt. I was sleeping and glanced over to look at the monitor and saw a baby other then my own sleeping. i jumped up and ran to his room and there he was safe and sound.. My husband didn't believe me until two days later. Same time, same baby. It was the baby in the apt above us :) Got rid of the monitor that day.
The moral of the story is its probably your monitor picking up someone else's children. you don't need to live in an apt to have this happen or have the video ones. :) good luck!
