3 moms liked this
So I am super excited that the state I'm moving to next month (Tennessee) will start drug testing welfare applicants! It's not all of them, I guess they go to an interview and if suspicions are raised, then they will test them. Anyway, I'm very happy about this! So glad to be getting out of California!

i went to temecula pretty often. it was better than Oceanside when we wanted to get off base but having lived in GA,AL, and NC before moving to CA i can say i wasn't sad to leave it lol. the weather was great but there were a lot of financial issues in that state when we lived there (we moved 2.5 years ago) and some not so great crime issues. right now we are in VA. if i had my pick so far id live in Savannah GA. its gorgeous there. good luck on your new adventure :)

I love Temecula don't get me wrong lol I was raised here but I'm 26 and stbdh is 28 and we live with my mom because we can't afford to move out. We found an apartment in Smyrna for 580 for a 2-13/4. Here that's like Atleast twice as much.

Quoting connie45:

Sorry you are leaving us!  But Temecula....yea I can understand your delight in getting out of that part of the state.

QuotingTemecula_Mama:

Agreed! And thanks! We are nervous but my transfer is official and I'm ready to gtfo of SoCal!

Didn't FL do this, and it cost the tax payers tons of money?

That program was a COLOSSAL waste of money in my state.

It COST FL money to try that little plan - in this economy we can't afford witch hunt programs that waste tax dollars.

Ca still has financial issues. Tennessee has a 400 million dollar surplus :) and gas is under 3 dollars a gallon :)))

1) never said they were...
2)then let them but why not make it more difficult?
3) that great but not the point
4) I'm sure the government of Tennessee is well aware of that and has planned accordingly.

Quoting RedRozeMom:

One..not everybody on welfare is a drug addict.....

Two...those who know how to work the system will work around this.

Three...not every job drug tests.

Four...probable cause opens the door to a lawsuit against the state. All it takes is one wrong decision for someone to start legal action. Tell me that you have probable cause to do a drug test foe illegal drugs when there is no reason to, I will own you....

i worked for the federal government (dept of the treasury) for five years and was never drug tested in fact ive never been drug tesyted for any job ive ever had and im 40 years old and worked in high risk jobs like health care and with the mentally ill

Quoting .Pagan.:

i don't see why they don't do this everywhere. if you have a government job you get drug tested..if you are getting fs or wic you should have to be too. and this is coming from someone that wants mj legalised
