To Be Honest.... (PIOG)

I am petrified of the thought of giving birth. I'm 17 and almost 25 weeks pregnant. (This is my first.) Yeah, I know I should've thought of this before I got pregnant. (I was on the pill and he did use a condom.) I just keep hearing horror stories on here and, yeah, I'm terrified. A c-section sounds so incredibly scary to me and with a vaginal birth you have the possibility of tearing all of the way to your rectum. Obviously there's nothing I can do now, I just needed to vent and maybe get some type of support....

Well, it IS SCARY! I've done it both ways. My C-section was better than my vag birth. There's not much you can do about it now, just learn to relax. GL.

Well, the baby does have to come out.  I've had two vaginal births and one c-section.  With all three, the recovery was different.  If you need a c-section, they'll go that way.  You won't feel it, but the recovery can be hard.  If you tear, you'll be a little sore, but it goes away.  Then neither could happen and you'll be going home the very next day :)  Even if you tear, you can go home the next day.

It will be okay :) I didnt tear but dr did cut me. Stitches ice and special spray (lol) and it heals. After birth it did hurt but youll be soooo in love with the baby you wont care.
Good luck. Are you in the Oct due date group?

One.way or another that baby is coming out.

Don't be scared. Being scared will only make it worse.

Talk to experts and get informed.

Ive had 1 c secton and 3 vag births. The recovery for vag is so much easier even with tearing. sections suck as far as recovery, but either way you are going to be so completely head over heels in love, it wont matter how baby came...just that he/she is there to love!
