If u dont have any fruit that is bad and is still getting them they are coming from your drains. I have them bad but all I do is clean the sinks and bath tub out then pour bleach down the drain keeps them away from about a week or two. I thought they were fruit flies too till I had Terminix come out and the guy told me what they were and what to do. But they are crazy
Yes we keep alot of fruit. And I clean like that too. I hate them. They are like ant. I get rid of them for about 2weeks and then their back. And my house is never dirty..like...food drity.

If it is because of fruit the control is to get rid of the fruit, however, I have had them linger after the fruit is gone. Don't forget to check your potatoes and onions.
I set out a small container with vinegar in it and that usually cleans up the stragglers. Vinegar also works in the drains and if you want some fizz to it because it works better, put some baking soda in first.
Have you tried getting the fly strips that you hang up I would get a pack of them and hang them over where your fruit is and see if that helps.
