To the lady who thinks the girl from "Brave" is gay, and all the repliers.
This is an article I found about "Brave" being a feminist movie. No, they don't point out that she is gay but they don't deny it either. In fact, nothing is even brought up in the article about homosexuality. They are just showing little girls that they don't need to succum to the steryotypes of "girl".
That being said, all the people that "grew up as tomboys and aren't gay" (Which was stated in a majority of the posts), nobody actually fits the complete steryotype of "girl". Everyone has a bit of rebel in them, but that doesn't mean you need to get your panties in a bunch over one person's thought. I don't think she was saying "oh yeah, this chick is definitely gay!", but rather "this is a new side to pixar. letting girls know they're allowed to be themselves and I like that!"
Original poster, I salute your thinking outside the bubble, being kind about it, and taking all the rude criticism nicely.
I'll probably get a lot of shit for this post, so bring it.
