Yesterday I noticed my tongue felt swollen I thought it was weird but couldn't figure what would cause it and nothing else was wrong so I just dealt with it. Today I woke up and I have blisters in my mouth and on my tongue and my throat hurts! I guess I'll just go on a liquid diet ugh! I wonder if it has anything to do with getting too much sun this weekend I usually get a cold sore if I spend too much time in the sun.

Weird, have you eaten anything strange? If it starts swelling or anything make sure you see someone.

Have you eaten anything different from what you normally do? I remember when I was in elementary school I ate some bad fish at a seafood restaurant and ended up with a tastebud infection. It was the grossest most painful thing I've ever had. Every single tastebud on my tongue was inflamed, pretty much blistery. I had to go to the Dr. and get some nasty medicine to swish around in my mouth for days before it was gone. I definitely wouldn't wait to have it checked out. That was 20+ years ago for me and I'm still traumatized from it.

When my dd had cold sores in her mouth the dr gave her a gel i had to put all over her mouth and tongue so it would numb and she could eat..Sorry that's happened to you...HUGS

I would generally assume that swollen tongue and blisters in mouth warrant a call to the doctor. If it's a virus, they can help you with pain relief.

You know if it where one of the kids I'd be in the doctors office in a heartbeat but for myself I tend to wait it out it drives my mom crazy.
