when they dropped AMC we changed out plan to a lower level and let them know it was BC they let AMC go. of course they try to lay all the blame on AMC - but its directTV getting less money. we have a 2 year agreement - so we aren't going to drop them completely, but we did as much talking as we could with our wallet.
bump for other dish/directv people...i have verizon fios. directv's service by us is horrible. if the wind blows - you lose signal
if you call they will give you a five dollar credit for 3 months

Did you watch the little message that the Directv CEO did? All of those channels that were dropped are Viacom channels. Viacom PULLED their channels because they want Directv to up your rates so they can make more money. Apparently they are still in negotiations with Directv over the whole thing, but decided to go ahead and pull their channels in the mean time.
