Do you think it should be allowed?
For example: praying over food at lunch, morning prayers in the office, having holy pictures in a work area.

Everything but the religious images should be fine. And as long as you have a private office where you do not see clients or a company policy against personal items in the workspace, even images are fine. I just see issues coming up if you see clients in the space who may feel uncomfortable with the images or less welcome...
Quoting LucyHarper:So if someone wants to bow their head and say a prayer before eating their lunch or want to hang a picture representing their religion at their personal workspace, you have a problem with that... why?
Quoting Paperfishies:
Prayer doesn't belong in the work place unless you work for a religious organization.
definately why shouldn't it be. as long as people arenot being forced to participate. witnessing somone pray is not going to hurt any one
As long as it is not forced upon anyone why not?
Like if a person says a blessing before they eat, or if they want to say a morning prayer with other's who share that belief?
I did, at one time work, for a Catholic organization. Those who worked there may not have been of the Catholic faith, as I was not--there were mormon, jehovah witnesses, and wiccan and pagan working there, and they were all expected to act as Catholic in the workplace. When in Rome, do as the Romans, so to speak.
Nobody bitched when the JW's refused to participate in hanging whole blood on a patient. Which, is their right.

I think it should be up to the company as to whether it is allowed or not, provided that people are told the company's policy before they are hired, and if the company changes policy it isn't forced upon those hired under the old policy.
