Do you make your own birthday cakes or buy them? *pics*

I decided this year that I would not buy a single bday cake and I haven't so far. I have never been one for baking or decorating but As long as we can eat it, it doesn't matter too much what it looks like :)

Here are the cakes I made this year for my three kids bday parties.

If you have any feedback, please be gentle...I've never bake cakes in my life before this! LOL

 I make my Birthday cakes. They are so much more personal and taste better! I made my son a rainbow cake for his 6th B-day and my daughter a cake with flowers for her 3rd.

I have bought a cake once.  And it was from my best girlfriend who 'does' cakes.  It was super cute (and it helps that it showed up the other costco cake at the party)

I've done tons of cars, 3D cakes, everything.  I like doing it, but wish was better at it
