My daughter was hit by a car tonight,need prayers. (small update)***Another update w/pics*** UPDATE JULY 17 NEW UPDATE JULY 18*** Update 7/22***
They finally have her stable and I can't rest, all I can do is sit and worry. This evening she was hit by a car right outside our house. She hit hard and did a cartwheel and landed on the curb hard. She was rushed to the military hospital where they did a CT and found she fractured her skull in several places as well as some internal bleeding. They had to air lift her to the children's hospital in temple where we are now. She is hooked up to a vent and has another tube draining her tummy. They are monitoring her tonight and doing another CT in a few hrs. Please pray, send good vibes whatever you do. Our family really needs it!
**they did a CT about an hour ago and the good news is there is no change, bad news is everything is the same. The vent is about to come out. Thank you for everything, I will continue to keep you update. I am exhausted!!!***
******Well my dad finally arrived and brought me the laptop so I can add pics and update. They were going to put her on the regular floor today but she had a few setbacks. She is having a hard time waking up, she is vomiting,and some of her blood work is abnormal. SO tonight they are keeping her in PICU and monitoring her some more and running more tests. Hopefully tomorrow we can get her moved. The pics below are from the first night up until a couple hrs ago when I gave her a sponge bath. Again THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT*****
****July 17th update: They moved her out of the PICU however, she still has a way to go. She walkes like Humpty Dumpty ( when we can get her to walk ) and she still refuses to eat or drink anything. All she wants to do is sleep. Tomorrow the physical therepist is coming up to work with her.****
***** She is doing a lot better!! She went to the play room today and didn't fuss to much. The bad news is it looks like we are going to be going to San Antonio for in patient PT, occupational theropy and speech. That is all I have for now*******
***** Please forgive me for not updating sooner. It has been a crazy couple days. We moved to an in house theropy and she has been so amazing she should get to go home very very soon. We all think that being home is the best place for her and she can continue out pateint therapy. Again, thank you all for the prayers!****
