Mattresses for kids?

When your kids began sleeping on adult-sized mattresses, how much did you spend on it?

I switched my kids to full sized mattresses when they were pretty little but at the time, all I could afford were the cheapest mattresses. Lately, I notice that when my kids sleep on my mattress, they sleep a good two or three hours later.

My son goes to bed last and wakes up the earliest. He was stirring at 5:15 this morning so I put him in bed with me. Three hours later, he is still out COLD!

I'm seriously considering buying them better quality mattresses. What do you think?

I would buy them better matresses.

When we bought our kids matresses we bought high middle of the line. Not the most expensive, but not too far down from the top.

Were hoping we can find a single memory foam or something like that..a high quality one. She has a bed that we just got her but the mattress is from her old bed...but I can't lay on it cause it hurts my back so I can't imagine hers! :( she's almost 3 so its gonna be part of a birthday gift since she has EVERY toy available! Lol we didn't know what to get her besides clothes and a mattress

I can almost promise you he's sleeping better because he's in the comfort of mommy's bed :) my kids are up no later than six if they sleep in their beds. dd got up at 830 today and my son is still sleeping in my bed! if they sleep in their beds they are up at least once during the night, usually more, if they sleep with me they sleep straight through!
