Oh my goodness. This is terribly sad how violent he is. What would be your first step if this was your child?

The daycare workers did not protect those toddlers or even try to intervene appropriately -in fact they did not intervene with the 9 yr old.  The boy is not normal 9 yr old if he is doing that to toddlers (like the mom said he is normal 9 yr old) and that boy needs intense professional help and so does the mom to understand his condition.

The father-I could understand being angry but not at all hitting little kids in a daycare!!  That will not resolve anything-plus duh!! You will get charged for hitting other peoples little kids in a daycare!

Sad to see that is not too far from where I live --

O. M. G. That child is disturbed! I am sorry, but I totally understand the dad that wanted to hurt him. That boy should be charged with assault and taken to jail! As with his parents!

I said this in another post, but I have to wonder what that 9yo has going on at home to make him so violent. I haven't and won't watch the video, but I've heard enough about it.

I'm sorry, but he would be sent off for long term inpatient care.  He is way beyond just needing some outpatient therapy.

Quoting ladyraven16:

Put him in a psych facility. possibly forever unless he is somehow rehabilitated.

First of all, that wouldn't be my child... my child would know WELL before the age of nine that that kind of behavior would not be tolerated and would result in severe punishment.  Secondly, if my child had some sort of disorder that made him act out violently, I would not be putting him in daycare, I would be putting him in therapy (which might include in-patient therapy if it was severe).  Last of all, I certainly would have screened the daycare a bit better... this kid was CONSTANTLY hurting other kids. The fact that the daycare worker had no idea is scary, and even if he was waiting until she was turned away to do the things he did you'd think that the worker would at least have some suspicion or that multiple older children would have told her what was going on.  I have to wonder what kind of people his parents are.
