My DH says sweet stuff all the time. A few days ago, I was feeling frustrated because his loaves of bread turned out waaaay better than mine, and I've been baking bread for a few months. He said, "I just follow directions. You cook with lots of passion and love, which makes it better." Then he showed me how to properly make bread, lol. :)

A few days ago a stranger stopped me at the grocery store to tell me that I should consider having more kids because mine are so beautiful. It was quite the compliment. Really made my day!
When I go to Wal-Mart, Im always stopped by multiple people telling me that I have a beautiful family and that I have "Gerber Babies." It always makes my day :)
an old lady owns the tux rental shop where my niece rented the suits for her wedding. we took my 6 yr old son in to get fitted (and picked up-same experience both times) when we walked in she was cranky and very short with us. as soon as she spoke to my son and realized they weren't little brats who were ruining her shop, she was smiley and talking to us and the kids very sweetly. completely different. and as we were leaving someone else walked in and said "aw, so cute" and the woman very adamantly pointed out "and very well behaved too, such good children!" made me feel like i was doing something right! she told a couple horror stories about bad kids running all over the place and i'm sure she was happy not to have to deal with that again!
