So...what do you really think of Richard Simmons?
I personally LOVE the man. I put on 30 pounds in 3 months because of some medications that I started taking and it just got too much too soon for me and I decided I had to do something about it. I have a few work out dvds that I have had for a while and never liked him, don't have the time or money for the gym, so I was wondering what to do. I remember doing the sweating to the oldies dvds in high school and liking them, so I bought the 20th anniversary dvd pack about 3 weeks ago. I LOVE them and have been doing anywhere from 1 to 4 dvds a day (minus last week cause I was too busy on cake competition cakes to exercise). So far I have lost 10 pounds in like 3 weeks...no lie. I am still eating the same, the only difference is I exercise every day, and I LOVE IT! Even my 9 y/o DD gets into it and gets mad if I do one without her cause she is my "workout buddy". I love it so much (especially sweating to the oldies 2 because it has weights and floor exercise) that I just bought 2 more of his dvds for toning. And what is so awesome about him is he is so fan oriented. If you e-mail him, he responds to you, he has weekly chats, he STILL leads classes 3 times a week at his gym (and the man is in his 60s), he's very vocal on facebook, and he is a huge advocate for p.e programs and things like that in schools. The man is AWESOME in my opinion. Whether you like him or not, I can guarantee that if you do one of his dvds and give it your all, you WILL sweat. You have to find what you like....like he says..."if it ain't fun, it won't get done!" and that is so true. I find so many to be monotonous, boring, and everyone is always already so slim and fit that it can be discouraging.
So...what do you think of him? What are some of your fav at home work out dvds that are easy enough for anyone to start on (like no p90x or ripped 1000)?
