I didn't say you can't be brilliant and have a mental illness. I don't think he has a mental illness that prevented him from knowing right from wrong.
Totally healthy people dress in full tactical gear, release noxious gas to shoot up a movie theatre and booby trap their home and car every single day. Yep, it happens. LOL
No, sorry, I don't agree with you. I don't believe in evil.
He is either a plain bad person or he is mentally ill. Having a plan of action does not mean someone isn't mentally ill. I do agree, though, that he was not having a psychotic break.
So true! What does he have left!? Nothing! Its a last ditch effort and most likely he will get it.

How else would you defend his actions? There's no "you've got the wrong guy" or "self defense".... All you got left is "crazy"
So, an honor student that has never been in trouble with the law or exhibited any signs that we are aware of just "decided" to murder a bunch of people and you don't think it is possible that something in his brain snapped? That he may really be ill? I'm not saying he is but I won't say he isn't either, that is for the psychologists and other doctors to determine, not me. But I do think it is possible that something is very wrong with this guy.

F the justice system cuz CafeMom knows best. No one with a high IQ, or advanced schooling has EVER been diagnosed with a mental illness. No, I am not defending what he did, not by a long shot, but your post is ridiculous. And BTW, exactly how is dumbass an oxymoron?
