play with cars, action figures and in the dirt but society has a shit fit when little boys want to play with barbies and dolls and more "feminine" toys?
So all of you mamas in here that get sand in your vaginas over little boys playing with dolls...Please answer the above question.
SOs family is the opposite. It pisses me off. They'll take a doll away from ds because it's for girls, but dd and any girl can play with cars...
I agree it is perfectly fine...I have seen on this site multiple times, moms saying they won't let their little boys play with girly toys...However I have NEVER seen anyone say they will not allow their daughters to play with masculine toys. Such a ridiculous double standard.

My boys have dolls and kitchen with dishes and play food......they're perfectly fine, lol.
i let my son play with dolls, i have no problem with that. toys are toys.
however i do think there are certain things that girls can do that boys can't and vice versa. is it fair? no...but the world isn't fair and neither is life so that's just the way it is.
example: i will not let my 3 yo son play with my makeup no matter how many times he asks. makeup is for girls. if i had a daughter the same age tho it might be a different story.
Why? At that age kids just think it is similar to coloring or painting.
Lots of boys wear makeup, halloween, special effects on movies, etc.

DS has all boys toys. I do not buy him dolls, but I could care less if he plays with him which he sometimes does when we are at friends house and etc. All of his toys are: trains, cars, action figures, blocks, etc. It's just what he likes. I have no problem with it though, I just don't personally go out and buy him dress up clothes and barbie dolls lol.
I dont see the big deal, let kids be kids, let them experience things and decide for themselves, ds took a hiphop dance class with twelve girls and one boy, he loved it, dd took ballet, she loved it, who cares!? Lok
