How do you know if you have it?
It hurts to breathe, like I have a weight on my chest.
I go into coughing fits that end in me gagging.
I have a mild runny nose...
my 2 month old is showing the same symptoms that I have...
my 4 year old was guessed to have croup no tests were ran, or anything. I plan to call the pedi tomorrow morning since my baby is starting to get dehydrated...

The sound of the cough is the most identifiable part. Google it, you can listen to it. Also, the coughing fits totally take your breath away.

I'd say it's either that or bronchitis. Any fever?

I turn bright red when I'm coughing, can't breathe during the fit and they last for 30 seconds or so
It's just a dry cough no bark or anything

When I had it when I was young it was a dry cough that didn't stop even with cough syrup. There were no other symptoms like runny nose etc. It lasted about two months, it hurt because all that coughing strained my ribs.

The "whoop" that you'll hear is in the intake of breath. It's like "cough cough cough cough BREEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAATHHHHEEE cough cough cough cough"

not sure but if it is. someone told this stuff helps.

There is also a product I have found difficult to get in recent years but it is amazing at clearing breathing passages. It is called "white flower." It only takes a very small amount, a drop to each hand, rub together and cup over the nose and mouth. Just breath it in and it is the best stuff I have ever used.  It came in a very small bottle but lasts a long time.  Found it in the health food store.

t EUCALYPTUS essential oil, 10-15drops mixed with rosemary and lavender oils 5 drops and some vitamin E or other natural oil, massaged on chest, neck and back before bed works wonders!
