This is why I said go sit with your child and see how much stuff they go through. I'm sure you won't be complaining

Quoting aprilsalcro:

I also suggest you go sit a few days with your child at school. Last year my ds was in kindergarten and they needed all that on your list plus more. things add up fast

Some schools supply paper and pencils. My daughter's school does along with crayons

Quoting ambermario4ever:

why? i am sure they will use they stuff i just wander what they will use ziploc bags for. and i also wander why they did not ask for any pencils or writing paper.

Oh dear God , you're one of those "moms" suck it up and buy it

Quoting ambermario4ever:

well since i pay taxes i should not have to buy anything and niether should the teacher.

Quoting mich.el.le:

I just looked up a ream of paper at STaples for $10.  And better you, the parents, buy it than make the teacher purchase all of it.

I don't still have the list but here's a pic from last year of DD kindergarten supplies. After it was all said and done I spent $90. You know, I didn't even see most of it used and I volunteered a minimum of once a week in the classroom lol

I doubt she's going to be pissed that the pack you got doesn't really qualify as a ''ream'' but anyway, go to Staples.  A ream is $5.79 there.
