Do you think global warming will be what kills us off?

My mom and I were just talking about this. I am not really that worried about it ... but I thought it would be interesting to get some opinions on here!

So... do you believe that global warming will be what eventually kills us all? If so, how? Do you think the whole world will eventually be under water due to all the ice melting? Do you think it will get so hot that we all die from the heat? How long do you think it will take to get to the point where we are SERIOUSLY affected by global warming? I mean, I know it has already had an impact in many ways... but I meant to the point of major disaster.

If you don't think global warming will be what does us in, what do you think it will be?

Good. That's how you're supposed to read it most of the time. Lol

99% of the time I love your responses and the voice I put with them always has a sarcasm to it.

If you like to read you should read state of fear by Michael criton(I think that's how you spell it). Anyway, its written in a story format but they use real facts about global warming... It's very interesting. One of the most interesting parts I read was a report about how the ice caps are melting up north and that's what's causing all this hubub, but nobody sees the reports about how the south pole is getting more ice... I honestly think that really all that's happening is the hemispheres are shifting and weather will be changing, but that's all...

i think its a real possability that affects of global warming could kill us off..i believe there will be a massive rise in the ocean sea l eval...i think ur probably safest in the middle of the country. not saying it will be in our lifetime but it will happen eventually...

I think it will contribute in some way yes, but I don't think it's something that is going to happen in our immediate future, I think it will be a few (several) generations.

Something I read about 2 weeks was talking about how in like 2050 or some crap like that cali will be covered with sealol. But who knows it will more than like be a long time before it effects us any ways.

The climate has been changing since the dinosaurs, we will either adapt or die off.....

Its millions of years away, but I think the sun will eventually be too much for this planet, and we will get swallowed up by the Andromeda galaxy.

I don't think so. All living creatures evolve and adapt. I think "man" will be what kills "man".

I talk about it with family and I think about it from time to time but I try not to get too wrapped up into it because it makes my anxiety skyrocket.. What can ya do ya know?? Sitting here worrying about it isn't going to change anything. I do however think it will have something to do with the weather that kills us off.. Weather that be the heat, cold, other natural disasters ect ect.. I do know that God wont destroy the earth with water again, that's what the rainbow is for! :)

A mom after my own heart.....

Quoting Pnukey:

I think general stupidity, not global warming, is what will do us in as a species.
