Using plastic bags rather than boxes when moving...

I'm hitting an all new high tacky level!  LOL!  I found that I can fit a lot more in these HUGE black thick industrial plastic bags then boxes and they wedge between oddly shaped furniture more easily than a large (or other wise shaped) box so rather than packing all my linens, towels, and even winter jackets in boxes I've been using these.  Its such a huge space saver, I can fit what I would have in one bag v 3 boxes.

What would you think if you peeked out your window when a new neighbor was moving in and you saw her with some big plastic bags rather than boxes?

My dad owns a landscaping business and he uses these for hauling away huge amounts of yard debris...  He gets them at costco or home depot I think.  THey are AMAZING, htey don't rip (in fact, its sort of hard to get it back open, lol!) and are HUGE and I have almost all of DS's wardrobe, all my linens, all of our winter gear (nyc so we have lots) and all of our blankets, and every other odd and end you can imagine packed up in 4 of them!  Its genius!  I can't believe I never did this before!  I'm going to use them for hangers and other odds and ends too!

I wouldn't bat an eye. I also use dresser drawers as boxes for the plastics and various unbreakables.

We used a few black garbage bags when we moved! It makes sense for stuff like clothes and toys!! We kind of lucked out though and the previous owners left about 50 cardboard  boxes in the basement for us! :D
