the poor woman deserved it.

Today we went to Jcp for the free childrens haircut. We got a phone call that the stylist we were scheduled for went home sick.  We could still come in and another stylist would take care of dd.  Well whomever was manning the phones did not tell the stylists this so they were trying to cover while they did their own clients.  Luckily one was able to fit dd in between her appointments and even though she felt rushed she did a great job.  We gave her 5 dollars for a tip since haircut was free.  I think I would have still given her the same amount even if we paid the 14 dollars for childrens cut.   She did the style exactly how dd and i wanted it.

That seems okay...kinda small imo. But, we usually tip 50% or $15, whichever is more.

35% is a small tip?  I have usually done 20-25% for hair tips.

Yeah I know people who wouldnt tip at all especially for a free cut.  I thought 35% was pretty good.
