What are you on?

IUD is not an option. Neither is NuvaRing.

NFP is not really an option either. Sometimes I ovulate twice and I never ovulate regular.

What do you take? Love it? Hate it?

I haven't been on anything for probably almost 2 years now...I know it's been quite a long time. I really never wanted to go back on birth control....

I used to use Loestrin 24 for about a year (2010). It didn't have many side effects and it worked but it made me a little moody and decreased my sex drive (what bc doesn't do that though?) I haven't been in bc for 2 years now and I won't ever get back on it. I use condoms. I have a 7 year old dd and condoms have never failed us. If it were to break I would use plan B. You could also try a spermicide and condoms for added protection.

Lol. I was on the patch first and it made me throw up all day. But I know lots of people who love the patch. Lol what's this time of year for you that makes you crazy? Lol.

Quoting LiesLiesLies:

And I worry about that. Especially at this time of the year.

I'm already fucking nuts...I don't want to add anything to it. Lol!

Quoting nocalmegan:

Aw really? That sucks. It's funny how everyone's body reacts so differently.

Quoting staffordmommy:

This was the only thing my body could handle physically. But it made me depressed.

Quoting nocalmegan:

I was on ortho tri cyclen for 7 years. Loved it :)

Quoting nickysmom71:

Nothing...pull out method for the past 4 years.....before that...condoms....I cannot take anything with hormones.  Had an IUD years ago and it got embedded...no more of that shit.

I'm pregnant with #2 as well. Due in 8 weeks. My son just turned 5. I'm 29, so I shouldn't have issues with a tubal. Having a surgery is kind of scary though lol.

Quoting nocalmegan:

Me either. I'm pregnant with #2 right now. Due In Jan. I want to get my tubes tied but in Ca they don't like to do that until you are 24 or have two kids. I will only be 1 month shy of 24 when I have her. I have an apt with my ob to make sure my dr will do it. I'll be pissed if they won't. I hate remembering to take BC.

Quoting A.J.s_mommy:

I just hate bc lol...I will not have another child though. 2 is our max.

Quoting nocalmegan:

I never gained anything. It is a stronger form of BC tho so I do know a few people who experienced nausea when they first started. I switched from the patch (which made me really sick) to this so I didnt have a problem. My sister is on it too. She's been on It for 2.5 years and she hasn't had any weight problems either.

Quoting A.J.s_mommy:

Weight gain is a huge issue for me with birth control. I may look into this.

Quoting nocalmegan:

Nope never. No weight gain or nausea either.

Quoting LiesLiesLies:

The only thing I never got bloated on was Yasmin.

Does this make you bloated?

Yeh its crazy! I lost like 15 lbs on it so I was depressed but skinny lol! I tried other things- depo, and Nuva ring being a couple of them and I had periods that lasted months with them both. I just had a tubal done though so I'm good!

Lol, sorry. Everytime I turn on the TV I see commercials for these lawsuits against Yaz and Yasmin, I saw them a lot a year or so ago. Apparently there are some very serious side effects that more than a few people were experiencing.

Quoting melissa632:

Melt your face off? What's that about?

Quoting KellBell0820:

I have an IUD now, which I love. I took Yaz back before they found out it would melt your face off. I loved that too. I took another type of pill for like 6 months but didn't really care for it and went back on Yaz.

 Yes!! The generic is HORRIBLE!!

Quoting LiesLiesLies:

I loved Yasmin.

They switched me to generic and it fucked me all up.

Quoting SecretSuzy:

Before I had my IUD put in I was on Yasmin.  I had to have a Mirena IUD put in because of a medication I am taking makes birthcontrol pills ineffective...I liked Yasmin
