Gas Station selling on tap beer..what do you think?
The gas station just a couple of blocks from my house is selling beer ON TAP. You can either put it in a cup with a lid or a bottle that you screw the lid on yourself. At the GAS STATION. How the heck is that even legal? I believe it would be illegal to put either the cup or the bottle in the front of your car and drive home, so are they expecting you to drink it before you drive home? Unbelievable. Is this available at your local gas station? Do you think it is crazy too?

This is also Craft(brand) Beer in Upstate NY, and there are Open container laws here. So it is illegal for anyone to drive with any open /unsealed container. I think even the bottle that you screw the top on yourself would be considered an open container since it is not sealed. I don't think that the police can wait across the street to arrest on the open container as it could be considered "entrapment"- I think the whole thing is crazy.
There are gas stations here that do that also but they are only located in a brewery town. They're not allowed to drive off with an open container, though.
I thought it was crazy also until I realized that this is how it used to be everywhere.
What I think is even more crazy is that if you go to the Shiner brewery in Shiner Texas, you can have three free beers PER DAY, every single day, whether you live in that town or not.
Of course, it's only 3-4 ounces of beer per cup but still! Nifty!
