I just got to work. I nanny, and the mom of the family I'm with is out of town for 2 weeks. Usually when I get here everyone is still sleeping but gets up when they hear us come in. So we get here and let the dog in, and then Dad gets up and starts talking to me (which I realize now is weird because he's usually so introvert) and all the sudden the dog starts going ballistic and DD goes, "who is that? Mommy, mommy" and she's pointing out the door onto their deck. Well it's hard to explain the layout of their house but they have two exits to the backyard, one from their bedroom and one from the kitchen area. So I look out the window, and this woman is standing there like tucking her blouse into her pants and slipping shoes on, and their bedroom door is not shut all the way. She was standing right outside the bedroom door NOT at the entrance of the deck which is on the opposite side and theres a baby gate she would have had to step over. Dad goes, "oh that's the neighbor, she must be looking for Frankenstein again" and opened the door and asked her and she was like oh yeah and he said we just woke up and haven't seen him. The conversation exchange between them was totally normal but honestly their expressions IMO said they knew something I didn't. There was that look in their eyes. My heart started beating really fast right then and there and I thought OMG they are sleeping together! I'm not sure if I'm doing a good job painting you a picture but it seemed like she was totally leaving his bedroom. The weird thing was after this exchange she got in her car and drove off so how was she the neighbor over checking on a pet? And also I've been nannying for this family for 6 months I know several pets in the neighborhood and there are no cats that come into the yard, and if there were the dog would go crazy so mom would have mentioned it to me Kwim? The other evidence is there are TWO margarita glasses in the sink, though it's not uncommon for them to drink its like why two glasses if you weren't entertaining someone?
I don't know what to do from here. Should I talk to mom when I see her and tell her what happened or not get involved? I think I would normally not want to get involved but I kinda feel like I have a dirty secret and like I could be fired if I don't be honest with her. I mean I'm sure she would want to know if some woman is around her kids, Kwim?
Well I think this is getting long but that's where I'm at. :-/

I probably wouldn't say something unless I had more to go off of (although you are probably right). It doesn't make it easier for you though.

WOW thats a tough one its like if you tell you might ruin their family or lose your job and get a bad rep for nannying. I would kind of let it play out and see what happens see if the dad says anything. Hey a good note it could be something that you use to get more money or time off LMAO.

This.

If you dont have hard concrete proof the dad can make you out to be "the bad guy" and you can lose your job and reputation.

Wow, that's tough.  Maybe you could think of some way to bring up this Frankenstein to the mom, and sorta get the info out that there was a neighbor looking for it, kwim, don't flat out tell her what you saw, but maybe let her start to wonder.

I would leave it be! You don't know the whole story and didn't see anything go on with your own eyes. Unless you are like BFFs with the mom it could turn really ulgy for your career.

I would flat out tell dad that his behavior is not ok, when you are around. You are not getting in the middle of his personal affairs.

I'm a nanny too. I was hanging out at the house with the kids the other day. They were playing on their dads ipad(which they let them play with)
They got busy with something else and I started playing with it. Looking for games. And all of a sudden there are messages from "ameture match.com" about hooking up and meeting different people. They were all over the place! I was looking at apps and scrolling down (it was like a download list) and bam "so&so wants to meet up" ugh. I just shut it down and put it away. None of my fucking business. For all I know its the mom! Hahaha
