we have a kitty cat that was an outdoor kitten before we got her. every time we go out she is constantly meowing to get out. so to keep her from running away do they sell leashes/harnesses for cats?
yep, they sure do. This is what I did with one of my cats because she insisted that she was going to go outside and she had not been outside since we found her at 2 weeks of age. When this was going on she had not been spayed yet either and I was not about to risk her getting pregnant. It does not work with all cats but she lost the desire to go outside once I did this.
Yes, even harnesses for cats. You need to train your cat to wear the harness for a few minutes a few days before you will be need to use the leash and harness. Some cats will refuse to walk; just lie down and play dead, others will fight every minute they see that harness. My kitten loved to go for a walk with my 2 terriers an myself every morning.

Yep. I remember "walking" our cats around the yard on a harness as a kid. I am sure you could get them at most pet stores.
wouldnt really be *leash training* we have a tie out for our doggie and we would clip the harness to that so she can be with us outside

Yes they do, yup can get one at about any pet store or online, but leash training a cat its not like leash training a dog, it takes A LOT OF PATIENCE! especially since you couldn't start from kittenhood... And it was an outdoorkitty before it probably won't like being leashed at all
I'm not saying don't try... But cats dont really like being tied up in general...

PetSmart has them. I tried it but my cat got out of it. I wished I'd tried harder because he got lost one day when he was let out. The cat I have now does not leave the back yard so I don't use it. She doesn't want to get away from her food source, lol. I would look for a harness, not just a collar, that way the cat can't push it off her neck.s
We did it! Started when they were little. I would clip them to a dog run.
