My son is a senior this year, and our homecoming is coming quick! I love making mums and have made them in the past, but what about my senior this year ? Do boys, who are seniors wear mums ? I have made my son some before, but it was just around the arm..... so does that change since now he is a senior ? I'm not too sure how this works, I didnt go to school in the south, but I do love this tradition of homecoming/mums. My daughter was a senior a few years ago and I made her a almost body length white mum, and it was just gorgeous ! I just want to make my son's senior year awesome ! So I dont want to miss a step ! Thanks for the advice !
Yes, they wear the shorter ones with the arm bands.
We never had mums in our high school. I never heard about them until I moved to Texas and worked in a hobby store for a few months. For about 2 months we had to make mums like crazy. HATED it! There a couple months in Texas by this point and my thought was "people are effin' insane here!" LOL.
HA ! I'm in Texas !! Been down here for 20 years, I love Texas !!
I'm from Philly, so we do not do the whole mum thing.... but I love all the hub bub about homecoming. Love going to my fav shop in Balch Springs to get all my supplies. But yes, a mum is a corsage made for girls and boys at homecoming.

Random google image, I had nothing to do with the making of these, LOL.
Quoting -42-:I feel totally stupid, but what is a mum?

What part? I've been here for 12 years, don't like it, not this part of the state. Too much wind and a lot of nothing else.
Between Dallas and Tyler
