any else already thinking about halloween?

my kids are already trying to figure out what they want to be. we used to go trick or treating with a group of friends but they have moved so i am trying to decide what to do. thinking about throwing a halloween party where kids can sleep over, popcorn and movies, snacks and candy, and games and activities. any ideas? i would love some ideas of what to do for the party.

I usually always throw a halloween party due to the fact that I live in a very small town and not many places to go trick or treating. I usually do a cook out with hot dogs or if the weather is good a bonfire, and have some games for the kids to do and play. Last year they decorated masks and mostly ran around the yard just having a blast. I also put a bunch of candy in a huge bowl that they can snack on during the party and when its time to go home they can fill up a goody bag with the leftovers. They can also wear costumes and have a costume contest. Hope some of this helps.

i have a 3 yr old so can't go too scary. i was thinking some of the cute kid halloween movies (corpse bride, coraline, nightmare before christmas, halloween town, etc) and some games and food.

I make my kid's costumes. So I'm already planning.
My girl are all insects.
My DD 2 is a butterfly. DD 5 is a ladybug. & step DD is a bumble bee.
I'm making them with tutus & wings & big elaborate bows. All from scratch, handmade.
I just got into the bow making so I'm really excited to start.
My step DS wants to be a jack in the box! Lol. So I'm Trying to figure it out.
& my DS 1... Still thinking.

Try decorating. Carving pumpkins. & spooky movies!!! Sounds like fun!!!
