My daughter told me she had to get to school early tomorrow so her friend could copy her notes for English. I asked her" isn't that cheating" and she said "no its not heating it's team work" you adults are always on us to work together then when we do you call it cheating. Then she started singing the wonder pets song. I just walked away shaking my head kids!!

I dont think copying english notes would hurt but if it was an actual test or paper for grading, I wouldnt allow it.

I say that because they are graded on their notes the teacher collects note books weekly. They have to have their note books organized and all the notes completed.

Copying notes is not a big deal, IMO. If it was a test or an assignment, completely different story.

Edit: Oh, saw your reply about the teacher collecting the notes...well, that might be a different story.

Eek.  Remind dd then that she needs to face the consequences if she gets in trouble for sharing her notes.  I had a classmate who would copy my vocab work in exchange for giving me "off " days.  The teacher had 1st person in each row check homework every day LOL.

2 moms liked this
Yeah I'm not too worried about it they are all great kids and in all honors classes. This is her freshman year of highschool and she's already taking honors algebra 2. I just have to give her a hard time. The wonder pets song did me in though lol
