I dont think copying english notes would hurt but if it was an actual test or paper for grading, I wouldnt allow it.

Copying notes is not a big deal, IMO. If it was a test or an assignment, completely different story.

she is a VERY smart girl ; ) and I will NOT be telling my teen boys about this post.... LOL ...they are already too smart for their own good sometimes...LOL
Eek. Remind dd then that she needs to face the consequences if she gets in trouble for sharing her notes. I had a classmate who would copy my vocab work in exchange for giving me "off " days. The teacher had 1st person in each row check homework every day LOL.
