I only buy name brand school supplies...Roseart crayons are WAY too waxy and they color really crappy...and the markers have a really poor color pay off.
For a while in Ohio, we had Jared's Law, which said the school had to have an MSDS for EVERYTHING in the classroom. For MOST of the name brands, (Crayola, Purell, glad, even tissues,) it is easier to obtain these pieces of paper, that it is for the other "off" brands. That law was reversed (thank heaven), which eases that burden... Also, some kids have allergies to red dye and Crayola is the only brand that doesn't use it.
I always bought what was on the list, yes rose art is cheaper but cheaper doesn't always equal better, imo Crayola is much better even though they aren't cheap,i love their skinny markers and crayons..however this yr i didn't buy supplies, the PTA bought school supplies for the entire school, all I payed was $32 for each child and i have 2 kids,i missed getting a list and going supply shopping though.
Yep. Our schools ask for certain types of brands. They say they last longer, the lead doesn't break as easily, etc. We try to get those brands. Most of the time around now are when they are the cheapest. 25 cents for a 24 pack of Crayola crayons are pretty cheap.
My aunt sent a bunch of stuff to my girl's this year and I thought screw it I am just going to send it with them because they were excited that Aunt Shelly send them stuff and it was unusual stuff. Our school never said a word.
Always crayola, my kids would fip if I tried to pass off roseart on them, lol.
I always buy Crayola. BUT I am anti-Fiskars lol. We have had several pairs break, even I have broken a pair. So, I buy a different brand of scissors. We just have bad Fiskars karma....
