Sleep walking. They can seem awake when they do it. Actually pretty common for kids.
Aww! One of my daughters did that recently to me. She just got out of bed and came and told me, "I love you so much sweetie dear." :-)
Daddy's girl...so sweet. Maybe she had a bad dream about him? (being afarid of the dark) one night I woke up to a tiny head with beady eyes staring at me right at the side of my bed!..lol Every night before bed we give hugs and kisses and say night night love you, we have done this for years.
She had a dream, it's no big deal.
DD woke us up once, she was maybe 4 years old, around 2 or 3 am to ask if she could see Elvis' feet (my old chihuahua, died since). I yanked an angry chi out of the covers and held him up and she counted his feet. Then she asked where his other two feet were. I said, "He puts them away before he goes to bed." I stuffed the dog back in the blankets and offered to take her back to bed and she said that no, she was fine, she just had to count his feet so she'd know he wasn't an alien. I watched her head back to her room and waited until she went back to sleep. She didn't remember it in the morning, but thought it was really funny.
There's nothing supernatural going on. Kids have weird dreams.
