If you labled them, you should easily be able to figure out who took them if they are using it. Why was he on the playground unattended at this age?

I just feel bad for him since this is not how you want school to start. DD had left her lunch bag behind only because it was somehow tossed in the 2nd grade bucket after lunch. I hope you can talk to his teacher about this and remind him that if someone takes something of his to let an adult know as soon as possible. He will not be in trouble.
