How to clean roller on vacuum

I have a shark navigator vacuum for my parents. Today I accidently vacuumed up something and had to fight for it back and when I did I flipped over the vacuum and saw the roller had an extreme amount of my long hair and strings rolled up. How do I clean that roller? I'd rather not take the vacuum apart afraid I couldn't get it back together.

LOok it up online - you probably will have to take the bottom cover off to remove the roller and take all the shit off, its basic maintence really.

I found a lot of tutorials on youtube. Try one for your vac

or you can just sit there pulling the shit out strand by strand until its clean.

I take scissors to my vacuum, I don't have a shark though. I'm afraid to take it apart.
