So my dh grew up in Big Stone Gap and he wants to move there. I will be getting a settlement soon and he said maybe we could move there. He lost his job 1 month ago. So he figures we can buy a house and settle there. My problem is where do I begin my house hunt? I am very new to house hunting. Thanks

I'm in roanoke va. I would go on realty websites and type in the zip code of the area to start your search.

HAHA!!! I grew up in big stone gap. There is NOTHING there and no jobs. Houses are cheap yeah, but BSG is NOT what it used to be when I was a kid. I love it and sometimes I miss it.. but you couldnt pay me to live there now

I would come to the area ahead of time and look around. Jobs aren't easy to come by in VA right now, like most of the country.  Especially in the more rural areas of VA. Personally, job hunt first, move after you've gotten one.
