Would you let your 14 year old

Posted by   + Show Post
My dd was nominated by her teacher for a program called People to People Student Ambassador. If she's picked (chances are slim) she would go to Either Whales, Ireland or Scotland for the summer. Kinda like a foreign exchange student. I don't have all the details yet as I still have to go to the Information meeting in November. The cost of the trip is somewhere between $4000 and $8000. would you let your 14 year old go?

That would depend on the details of the trip.

If money weren't a factor, I would in a heartbeat. But I'm not sure if we would have that kind of money available for a trip.

I would as long as she was responsible. My sister was going to do People to People when she was that age but my parents didn't end up having enough money and she couldn't get enough fund support for it. But since I already know and trust the program I would totally let 14 year old go. :-) Great experience for her!

I agree, you don't always get a chance like that!
