Liquor at a baby shower??? EDIT

So we are having a  baby shower at our house and my DH thinks its normal to provide liquor. Ive never heard of this before! He asked a few co workers today and they said "yea, people have liquor at baby showers"  Have you heard of this? Did you have liquor at your shower? DH says he just wants everyone to be comfortable...lol (we are inviting men and women)

Oh, and just for the nosey moms, we are NOT throwing our own shower.DH sister is. We are just having it at our house to make travel easier for everyone. 

And FYI I have no problem with it at all. I just never heard of it before and I wanted to see if DH was right. He is always right! I just wanted to see if I could be right about something for once! LOL I think with our family we actually need liquor to get through the party!

As long as no one is getting crazy & wasted. I don't see the issue. There was alcohol at 3 of my 4 showers & it was still kept pretty classy.

We did at the baby shower for DD, only because it was a family BBQ. It wasnt your typical baby shower. It was tons of fun.

I went to a baby shower once when I was a teen... I was the only kid there... The rest were adult Males and females and YES there was alcohol there! Lol they were a riot.

We have liquor at every function we have. I see no issue.

My moms best friend threw her a baby shower and my 4 siblings and I weren't invited because there was alcohol. I personally don't understand it especially since the woman expecting can't have any.
