My baby had a seizure went to respiratory distress and then quit breathing. Ems revived her and we are at the hospital. She had another seizure in the ambulance on the way. Plz pray for my baby. She is only a year old.
We're in the children's hospital. They got her in her room last night at 11:30pm and hooked up to IV fluids. She tested positive for some type of influenza which is the cause of her cough and fevers. (She started running one last night)
Still haven't done an EEG or anything but it is scheduled for later this afternoon.
Not sure the plan beyond that as they're waiting for neuro to consult.
She slept from the time we got here at 2 yesterday until 11 pm and was back asleep at 2 am and still is. She puked her iron medication up earlier and isn't eating. That's to be expected though with her fevers and stuff. Keep praying plz.
Update 2
We are home finally. Avvanah's eeg came back normal so the neuro thinks it was caused by the fever she had/has. The seizure is what caused her to quit breathing. She is still pretty sick but I went ahead and took her home. I didn't want her exposed to all the crap there. Her temp is still 103; still vomitting and is pooing every now. But all that can be done is to control the symptoms and let it run its course as its viral. Keep praying for her plz. She is at home resting now.
