I am not looking forward to the holidays and possibly having to deal with my dad's sister. She said some very nasty things about me and my religion and I want nothing to do with her. I am seriously thinking about taking my parents out to dinner for x-mas so I don't have to be in the same room with her.

On hubby's side, we really aren't looking forward to his brothers but to make his mom happy, we can tolerate it as long as they play by our house rules.

 Family Stress

by Ruby Member on Nov. 7, 2012 at 4:19 PM

Family stress- Dealing with all the drama that comes with us not celebrating Christmas and not going anywhere on Christmas eve or day.
And the drama of them getting mad that they chose to buy DD presents and we don't bring her around to open them on their terms.

I said family stress because my MIL, FIL, and SIL are all Jehovah's Witnesses.

Family stress. We have too much family (horrible, right?) and they all get mad when we're visiting other family members and it starts a ton of fights. On top of that, this year, SO will be on deployment and the SKs will be with their BM. It's going to be a rough year this year.

Mine wasn't a choice. I dread the holiday music. It just makes me cringe. Everything else I can handle but when I have to wear ear plugs to shop that kills me.

Just like everyday, not having my mom here to celebrate and enjoy life with us. Other then that, the financial strain.
