I have a friend getting married in a few months and she has graciously left her reception play list up to me. Sounds easy, right? Not as much as I thought it would be! She's already given me the songs she & her df definitely know they want and ones they have agreeably snubbed.
Soooo I'm needing some suggestions for some fun, upbeat songs that all the guests can embarrass themselves to along with some belly-grinding, baby-making kinds of tunes! I also need my memory refreshed on some classics (the "Chicken Dance" & YMCA are a must!). If you've got some ideas, throw them at me! :)
Google wedding songs and you should get a pretty extensive list of songs to choose from. You can also try going to iTunes to see what are the most popular songs and figure out whether any of those would also work. I think something fun and funky to throw in would be Party Rockin or something like that by LMFAO to get everyone laughing as much as the chicken dance and YMCA. ;)

Do a Snowball dance ,when they play a medley and everytime the song switches the dancers go grab another partner. Suggestions:
That's Amore, Dean Martin
Twist and Shout, The Beatles
The Way You Do the Things you Do, The Temptations
Tonight, Tonight, Hot Chelle Rae
Mambo Italian, Rosemary Clooney
Locomotion, Little Eva or Grand Funk Railroad
Slow dance suggestions:
My Love, Paul McCartney
Moondance, Van Morrison
Have I told you Lately that I love you, Rod Stewart or Van Morrison
My Girl, The Temptations
Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me By Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass
Memories are Made of this, Volare, Anything By Dean Martin is good, LOL
Witchcraft, Summer Wind, Fly Me to The Moon, Frank Sinatra
Ho Hey by the Lumineers
You're in My Heart, You're in my Soul, Rod Stewart
Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's
Other fun songs:
Banana Boat Song, Harry Belafonte(day-o)
Hey Mickey, Toni Basil
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Cyndi Lauper
Borderline, True Blue Madonna
American Girl, Tom Petty
Old Time Rock n Roll, Bob Seger
