I just called CPS on my neighbors....Did I do the right thing?
I just got off a 25 minute call to CPS. I called on my neighbor.. today was just the last straw.
Next door to me live 3 little boys. One is in kindergarten, and the twins are in 1st grade. The mother works at a 7-11 and a teenage girl lives at the house. The girl, that the boys call a nanny, put them outside in 33 degree weather with only short sleeves on,... no coats, no sweatshirts.. nothing.... slammed the door shut... and wouldn't reopen it even with the 3 boy crying and knocking on the door. They stood outside for 20 minutes until the bus came to pick them up. This has been happening for about the last month.
There have also been times when I have seen them being whipped with a spatula. And I do mean whipped..
Anytime that those boys are home, they are screaming and sobbing. They are not let out of the house to play or visit with friends.
I also have to be careful... just last month the sheriffs raided the house and arrested 6 teenagers there. Some for drug possession, some for burgulary, some on outstanding warrents.
Do you think I did the right thing? I'm home all the time (I'm disabled) and have been told to mind my own business.
