Question: Have you, or someone you know, gotten pregnant while on the IMPLANON birth control implant?

A friend of mine has been on the IMPLANON birth control since February this year, so about 9 months now. For those who dont know, the IMPLANON birth control is a 2 inch long rod that looks like a ink tube from a pen that is inserted into your bicep. Her particular dosage is good for up to 3 years.
She still gets periods, which the paperwork said she shouldn't be. She says they come every once in a while... In June she bled the whole month, then nothing until last month I guess.
She has a lot of pregnancy symptoms, such as the sore boobs, nausea (which she didnt have with her first pregnancy) and smell sensitivity...
Her dr has been having her come in once a month to make sure she's not preggo, but she hasnt been in for about 6 weeks or so. She feels stupid she told me, going in all the time...
She wouldn't really worry about it, but her s/o has 'super sperm' and got his ex pregnant twice (she lost both pregnancies) when she was sterile due to multiple medical conditions...
Since she doesnt have internet, I thought I would ask for her...
The period thing is normal. It's hormonal birth control, there's no period fixation guarantee. That part is 100% normal. I have had it for almost two years and I have thusly felt pregnant the last two years. After a year my periods turned normal. My boobs are always sore, I get nausea, food aversions, food cravings, and even a bloated midsection. I even lacted a month ago. No joke. But I'm not pregnant. I hate it, personally. If I had the money I'd get it removed at this point. It's also slayed my sex drive.
