I cant :( although I wish I could
always wanted to but i was not heavy enough (below 110 till now), then i was preggo, now i found out that i have type 2 diabetes :( so now i wont be able to at all
Yes very regularly. Not at the moment because I'm pregnant, but lifetime I've given 16 times. That equals 2 gallons of blood, which for some reason, really grosses me out when I think about it in gallons...
But yes, it's a great thing to do for anyone who is able!
I would love to, but I don't for a few reasons. Number one: I only have one good vein. I've tried and tried and tried to have blood drawn from my other arm, but it always ends up in a painful mess and they give up and go back to my good arm. So for my own personal health, I would like to try and poke my good arm as little as possible so it's in good condition for when I need it. Number two: I've heard conflicting info on donating blood while on my (probably life-long) medication. And number three: I've also heard conflicting info on the possibly negative reaction a recipient can have after receiving my blood.
