I am getting ready to move into a new house and i have painted and did a butterfly theme inmy princess's room and have the paint for the boys (light blue green color) but have no idea what the theme should be because of their age difference 6 yrs old and 7 months old. Any Suggestions would be apperciated
An outdoor theme would work maybe sports or various animals.
When we first moved in our house we had a similar age gap. DS was 6 and he BEGGED to share a room with newborn DD. (Ultimately she wound up sharing our room for a while before moving in with him.) His room was already blue and green and we did a stars theme. We got stars and moons and put those on the wall. Made some planets and hung them from the ceiling put some aliens up. It was kind of neat. Then DS had some Star Wars bedding that he picked out that was primarily blue and green.
You could forget a theme and go with stripes or bold colors for the boys. Both would be good for either age.
Sports,transportation,stripes,animals.Lots of themes would work for both ages :)
This or something along the lines of cars & trucks, dinosaurs, stars, etc.

I would let the 7 year old pick it out. We don't do characters so it would have to be something nice and boyish or neutral. You could always just pick a color and just decorate it nicely without a theme.
Is it just me, or... ?
