What women used for pads/tampons before modern times? For some reason I have always wondered. Especially Native American women, poor women, or those who live outside of "civilization". Maybe I'm just weird. lol

Did she always use the same one? I assume she had to wash it often...

Yuck!

It's worked for me. Of course I took concentrated cranberry, not just the juice. I makes your urine acidic so that bacteria cannot live. I also took garlic.

Quoting notjstasocermom:

maybe yours wasn't bad then or a full blown uti, cause i have never met anyone it works for.

Quoting MamaC.:

It does get rid of them, I've used it. But it doesn't matter, I don't want to debate with anyone.

Quoting notjstasocermom:

yeah it helps prevent but not get rid of them.

Quoting MamaC.:

Herbs and plants that people still use today. Cranberry works wonders on utis.

Quoting notjstasocermom:

although I have wondered how they got of bacterial infections , uti's things of that nature, without antibiotics.

Yes I have wondered. I know in Ancient Egypt they used sponges wrapped in cloth as pads and rolled papyrus as tampons.
