I wouldn't. It doesn't really make sense with the rest of the card.

I wouldn't say tacky, but not something that I would do.

Don't do it.  Two different things.  But then again if you think about it, you can do anything you wish.  People send us holiday cards of trips they have taken abroad.  Maybe not announce it, but show it in the photo (maybe a closeup of the ring).

I would not do it.

This. It isn't tacky, it just doesn't make much sense. I would send out a separate engagement announcement.

Maybe change the wording to Our first Christmas (like baby's first Christmas) with a picture of you in a typical engagement pose.

I don't see the problem with it.

I agree with a few others; it isn't tacky, but it doesn't make sense either.

2 moms liked this

I'll be the dissenting voice here.  I think it's a nice idea.  I know many people who send out those (imo silly) Christmas letters where they sort of catch everyone up on the past year and all that went on with their family.  This seems like a version of that.  I think it's cute.  If I can send cheesy pics of my kids as my Christmas cards, I don't see why it wouldn't make sense to share your engagement on one.  That's your big news for the past year, after all.
